Student rental house that has overgrown grass that needs to be cut. Just because students left doesn't mean that the owner doesn't have to maintain the property. An eyesore.

This house is looking for rentals on the following link:

    https://sacredheart.jumpoffcampus.com/listings/69036-4-5-bed-2-miles-to-shu

This house is advertising for 4-5 people and 4-5 bedrooms. This house is listed in the GIS field records as having 3 bedrooms. Were permits applied for and CO received? Probably not.

Two issues with this - renting to more than 4 non-related parties is considered a rooming houe and this residential area is not zoned for that. Second this house has more bedrooms than the field records show.

Zoning needs to follow up on this and if they have the proper permits, then update the Tax basis on this house. Otherwise, do the necessary steps for not having permits. And then there is the zoning issue for a possible rooming house.

There have been multiple complaints put in for many SHU house and they all seem to get closed out without any proper inspections. Is zoning checking the advertisements against the permits and the tax basis?

Advertised for 5 Beds, which is over what Bridgeport allows for non-related parties. 5 or more is considered a rooming house and this a residential area not zoned for a rooming house.

Also GIS records show this house as 3 bedrooms.

This complaint was closed out but with no resolution so I am putting it in again and will continue to do so until something is done. Attached are pictures from two different days.

Students in SHU house continually park on front lawn and is an eyesore for us residents.

According to the Bridgeport ordinances, parking on the lawn IS NOT ALLOWED. Use the picture provided or drive by early in the morning or late in the evening and you will see this. Today it was 2 vehicles. Put the landlord on notice and fine them! Why do owners have to put up with this?
