So this was first reported right around Christmas. Re-reported last night. So at 5:30 PM on our way home from work, drove down Jewett Avenue and there was that massive commercial trailer and cab STILL sitting on Jewett Avenue right on the corner of Enid Street. And to add insult to injury, truck driver is giving the middle finger to Bridgeport taxpayers because he has his wipers lifted up in anticipation of the oncoming snowstorm. Which means he has no intention of moving out of our residential neighborhood anytime soon! So because the mayor of this city and his police department have been completely impotent about removing this commercial, cab and trailer from a residential street, now Jewett Avenue won’t be able to be plowed adequately, this idiot is getting away with not putting his commercial vehicle with the three cars on it in a commercial parking lot and the taxpayers in Bridgeport get shafted again. Please vote this mayor out! The only time residents in the north end get anything from him is when he’s running for reelection. We have been completely ignored on this commercial dump in our neighborhood! It’s been in the same spot for over three weeks and is now sitting there with his wipers up. Disgusting.

Joe Ganim doesn’t seem to be aware the north end stretches in any direction out of Trumbull Gardens! We will always be in the lost and neglected part of the city in Joes eyes!

The North End no longer has the strong voting base we once had. Out of town renters everywhere who probably do not vote in our elections so the NE has no real voice in this City any longer. What about our Council Reps who supposedly live in their own districts? No pushback to City Hall on our concerns?

None. We live in a condo in the north end on Madison Avenue, where people park right up to the lip of our driveway, so when we try to pull out of our driveway to turn left, we cannot see what is coming from the right until we are halfway out on Madison Avenue and there is a blind curve coming from the left side so you only have about five seconds to react. It’s right by the spot where that Sacred Heart girl was hit and killed trying to cross Madison ave back in 2014. there is an ambiguous “no parking” sign with an arrow that should point back to our driveway, but sort of points to the buildings. Just based on the fact that they are not giving our driveway the 20 feet of clearance the parking laws require they should be ticketed, but they’re not. We’ve contacted the police department and public works and asked them to put two “No parking” signs there instead but nothing is happening. We were told the request has to come from an elected official. I know several people in my association/condo have contacted Michelle Lyons and have not even gotten an answer.,let alone any action. I guess they are waiting for somebody else to be killed trying to pull out of the driveway.

We’re told the request Hass to come to an elect officials so people in my association have contacted Michele Lyons. Never even got an answer. so we would not expect pushback to City Hall on our behalf over a massive illegal commercial vehicle parked in a residential neighborhood.

Have you seen 568 Jewett Ave driveway? is an eye sore to the neighborhood tons of vehicles parked even in the unpaved zone not long ago I remember I received two tickets because of that, so I don't understand what's going on.

As a taxpayer and homeowner, I don't need to rethink my choice in the next election period.

Everybody who pays taxes in the residential north end needs to call Joe Ganium , and ask him why he is still doing play with the driver of this massive car carrier and why his stupid police department who must have gone to the Helen Keller school of police couldn’t ticket this abomination in the 2 1/2 weeks. He should go back to jail! We drove down Fairview Avenue this morning. We counted FOUR massive cabs that are commercial that pull tractor trailers, TWO flatbeds on residential Fairview Avenue between Madison Avenue and Main Street. We have reported this issue for FIVE years and the pay to play mayor can’t seem to find Fairview Avenue and his police department can’t seem to find Fairview Avenue to protect residential tax payers and end this commercial parking lot in the north end. I made a comment back on 1/5 this commercial driver with his commercial flatbed had put his wipers up because he was planning on parking his @#$% in a residential neighborhood for a snowstorm. Called the mayors office. They did nothing. This commercial driver with his massive flatbed with three cars on it refuses to pay for a commercial parking lot, dumps on Bridgeport residential taxpayers, gives us the middle finger. Something bad might happen to that red truck, that flatbed and the three cars on it because basically we notified the police department that he put his wipers up and he was planning to dump his commercial piece of crap in a residential neighborhood for the snowstorm and the mayor and the police department have done NOTHING. We have sent pictures for over 2 1/2 weeks! Time for the neighborhood to take our neighborhood back. This guy has dumped on us because he doesn’t want to pay for a commercial parking lot. Does it matter because even though they blocked it here, I have contacted the state attorney general about the fact that residential taxpayers are not getting any help from their mayor about commercial flatbeds, parking all over the north end including this massive one which I sent him a picture of and after 2 1/2 weeks of reporting it it is still there and the mayor does nothing. so even though they try to block my contact, it went to the state Attorney General. Are you residential taxpayers that have to look at that piece of garbage need to do the same. Vote is useless mayor out.
